August 17, 1992 -- GNU Emacs, a screen editor available for many UNIX
Systems and other platforms, has been summarized in a new reference card
published by Specialized Systems Consultants, Inc. (SSC). SSC is the
publisher of the popular VI Editor Reference. The GNU Emacs Reference is a
concise description of GNU Emacs, based on Version 18.55.

Emacs is easily configurable through keybindings and user definable
functions. Cutting and pasting, command conventions, programming
functions, and multiple buffers are some of the features described. Emacs
has modes to make editing more convenient. The reference describes major
and minor modes, with detailed sections on outline mode and picture mode
and a separate section on programming support.

This 18-page pocket-sized booklet is for beginning and experienced GNU
Emacs users. It is priced at $4.50, less in quantity and will be available
August 30, 1992.
