(Fort Lee, NJ, July 29) -- John W. White, president of the Information
Technology Group of Texas Instruments (TI), will explore "Networking
Excellence in Supporting the Global Enterprise," as he delivers the
NetWorld 92 Dallas keynote address on Oct. 13, at the Dallas Convention
Center in Dallas, TX.

The keynote opens the Seventh Annual NetWorld Dallas show and conference,
October 13-15, with more than 475 companies showcasing the latest computer
networking products and services. The NetWorld Seminar Series is comprised
of 80 sessions, preceded by 11 Tutorials and a new Reseller Track on

Mr. White will discuss the challenges of global competition and the
emerging information technologies for meeting those challenges. He will

user and computing engine, according to Mr. White.

business which includes a worldwide computing and communications network,
information management systems and the company's software thrust which is
being built around its CASE (computeraided software engineering) tool, the
Information Engineering Facility.

TI's computer and communication network includes: 19 large mainframe
computers, 3,800 distributed processors, and more than 83,000 computer
terminals of which 50,000 are intelligent workstations.

Mr. White joined TI in 1961; he was a member of the technical staff until
1969, when he left to work for Electronic Data Systems and TRES Utility
Systems. In 1973, Mr. White returned to TI as Manager of Information
Services, and was promoted to Manager of Information Systems and Services
(IS&S) in 1977.

Mr. White was named IS&S senior vice president in 1989, before assuming his
