MAGIC RAM ANNOUNCES NEW PCMCIA/JEIDA IC MEMORY CARDS

Magic Ram has announced the addition of a new line of IC Memory Cards based
on the PC Memory Card International Association / Japan Electronic
Industry Development Association (PCMCIA/JEIDA) Standard. These include
JEIDA 1.0 DRAM Memory Cards with 2, 4, or 8 MB capacity with or without
parity check bits and PCMCIA 2.0 / JEIDA 4.1 SRAM Memory Cards with a 256
KB, or 1 MB capacity featuring dual battery protection. The SCAM cards may
additionally be ordered with 8KB of EEPROM used as attribute memory. The
dual battery system prevents loss of data during replacement of the
primary battery. In an ordinary one battery card, if the new battery is
mistakenly inserted upside down or is defective all of the data will be
lost when the device is turned off and rebooted. Magic RAM's new design
ensures that this will never occur with our products. These new products
supplement Magic RAM's current catalog which include DRAM Memory Cards for
the complete line of Toshiba Notebook Computers and for Compaq LTE Series
Notebooks. Future releases include FLASH EEPROM Memory Cards and a
fax/modem card based on the PCMCIA/JEIDA Standard.
