October 19, 1992 -- Apple and Kodak Technology Used in International Real
Estate Network System of Multiple Images for Internationally Listed
Estates, Inc. (SMILE), announced today the first international network of
residential real estate brokerages using a shared color image database.
The International Property Registry network brings together cutting edge
developments from several different arena--multimedia use of color imaging
on Apple COMPUTER INC.'s new Macintosh personal computer, THE MACINTOSH
IIvx, with a built-in CD-ROM drive, newly announced Photo CD technology
available from Kodak, and proprietary software developed by SMILE in what
is called the SMILE System.

Home sellers will be able to market their property to home buyers virtually
all over the world by listing their home on the SMILE System for $75 per
month. The service is free to buyers.

The International Property Registry's service is available through
brokerage firms, who participate by subscribing to the SMILE System to
receive CD-ROM disks containing the database. The brokers and their
customers use the SMILE System's touch-screen monitors to preview multiple
properties quickly, in full color, sitting in the local broker's office.
The buyer conducts a search based on a variety of criteria such as size,
price, and geographical location and then sees numerous color views
(sometimes including floor plans, or even drawings of the property after a
suggested "makeover") of each property selected, . In addition to homes
for sale, the SMILE System also allows the broker to show clients
properties for rent or lease in exotic, distant locations.

The SMILE System requires virtually no professional COMPUTER training on
the part of either the homeowner or the agent. "Because it employs a touch
screen and user friendly interactive directions, the SMILE System is as
easy to use as the Automatic Teller Machine most people now use to do
personal banking" explains Charles R.Weaver, retired Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer of The Clorox Company, and a Director of SMILE, Inc.

The company has established SMILE sites in brokerage firms operating in 12
major market areas throughout the United States and plans to be
operational in approximately 30 U.S. markets before year end 1992.
Additional sites are targeted in Western Europe and SMILE personnel are
selling the system in Japan and Australia.

"The SMILE System fundamentally changes the way real estate services will
be delivered to the consumer--worldwide", says Thomas Bryan, Marketing
Director for SMILE. "We developed the SMILE System after thorough market
research confirmed that home buyers and sellers appreciate the personal
service of a broker, but want that service delivered more efficiently.
They know that technology makes it possible to streamline the process.
Moreover, we wanted to provide even a one-office brokerage firm with the
ability to become international overnight so that broker can participate
in property sales virtually anywhere."

The SMILE System can be especially useful in corporate relocation of
employees. Besides information about homes and neighborhoods, SMILE can
provide customized disks describing a company's plans for a move, spouse
consultation and other issues critical to transferred employees. Some
corporations have requested access to SMILE, so employees can become
comfortable with the move and knowledgeable about the destination city
while still "on site".

The SMILE System currently runs on Macintosh computers. "We chose Apple as
our development platform because we feel they are out front in terms of
color imaging, in delivering a product that is easy to use, and in
providing the flexibility we need to take advantage of future
technological advances," states Gib Veconi, Technical Director for the
SMILE System.

"Across the country, the real estate industry is adopting Macintosh
computers to help them with everything from managing clients and accessing
MLS to producing professional client presentations," said Godfrey
Sullivan, VP Business Markets Division, Apple USA. "Apple Computer
applauds the introduction of systems like SMILE, which potentially allow
the agent to better serve their customers' needs through the use of
multimedia technology."

The SMILE System plans to include Eastman Kodak's new Photo CD technology
in the process. After pictures of the house are taken, a Kodak Photo CD
disk will be provided to the real estate agent who, using a program
developed by SMILE, can add textual information describing the home. SMILE
will then put the new property listing into its data base to be
distributed to brokers worldwide.

The Registry's future plans include video presentations on major areas with
tours through neighborhoods as well as tips on schools and church
locations and access to local services of interest to home purchasers. The
Registry also intends to include a disk called the "Agent Registry"
profiling outstanding real estate agents throughout the world, including
their picture, resume, and references.

System of Multiple Images for Internationally Listed Estates, Inc. is a New
York corporation, founded in 1991 to develop and market an international
computer database using color imaging to facilitate the purchase and sale
of residential properties. A patent is pending on the SMILE System's
process.
