NEW TEXT EDITOR For IBM-PC and Compatible Computers

Winnipeg, Man., CANADA -- Mar. 31, 1993 -- Vision Edit 3.5 was released by
Andrzej Brzezinski & Marek Kosznik. A number of new features have been
added.

Vision Edit is a DOS-based text editor. With Vision Edit many files can be
edited simultaneously. Each file will be opened in a separate window. Most
functions can be selected from pull-down menus or by clicking with a mouse
on a Tool Bar so users do not have to remember any commands. More
experienced users can invoke many commands with a single or double-key
stroke (hot keys). An extensive, context-sensitive, on-line help can be
activated at any time by pressing a key, or by clicking with a mouse on a
help button present in all dialog boxes. A new File Manager allows
browsing directories, deleting, renaming and copying files, and more.

Some features of Vision Edit can be customized. The colors of edit windows,
dialog boxes and other elements of the user interface can be changed by a
user. If somebody is used to another editor he or she may want to modify
hot-key commands - Vision Edit will then behave like the editor that he or
she is familiar with.

Vision Edit's virtual memory technology allows editing very large files of
up to 4MB in size.

Because Vision Edit is based on Turbo Vision from Borland International the
user interface is of the highest quality. Also users of Borland's products
will feel right at home with Vision Edit.

Vision Edit allows printing tiles. Various printer settings can be defined
in a Print Options dialog box. Also headers and footers can be created. A
new Print Manager maintains a queue of print jobs allowing a user to
select multiple files for printing

Vision Edit provides a user with a large number of editing functions that
are grouped in several categories e.g. Box Commands, Block Commands etc.
They can all be found in KeyCmds menu. Vision Edit's Macro capabilities
allow a user to automatize repetitive editing tasks. A new Macro Editor
allows editing macros.

System Requirements for the Vision Edit: an IBM PC XT, AT, PS/2 or
compatible computer with 512KB RAM memory and DOS 2.0 or later. lt is
recommended that you install VED on your hard disk (it will work from a
floppy but will be slow). Expanded memory is not necessary but it will
further speed up the program.

Vision Edit is available for $35 plus optional $15 for a printed manual
(plus $3 S&H) from: Andrzej Brzezinski, P.O. Box 2657, Winnipeg, MB, R3C
4B3, Canada. Telephone orders can be placed by calling (204) 943-4020.
